The Vigliotta family moved from Brooklyn to Broadway Bethpage in 1937. They then relocated to Patchogue in 1943 and were part of the family's East Moriches Duck Farm. The Vigliotta family were the founders of Rock Hill Golf Country Club in Manorville and donated a large tract of land in Manorville for the construction of Our Lady of Island Shrine. Rev William Vigliotta is chaplain of the shrine.
