Fenster, Mike

Mike Fenster, Physical Education teacher at Bethpage High School. He helps run the Athletes Helping Athletes program at the high school in which student athletes mentor fifth-graders in the district's Charles Campagne Elementary School to promote teamwork and decision-making. This program gives the younger students an opportunity to look up to older students and to talk and discuss positive values, importance of teamwork, health choices, etc. The high school students are volunteers and attend mentoring conferences at Adelphi University, and they fill out a very detailed application about their views on the use and misuse of tabacco and alcohol, and how to avoild harmful choices.
