Bill a life long resident of Bethpage where he lives with his wife, Barbara, and raised their four sons and two daughters. He is retired from the Roslyn School District where he was Director of Transportation and Facilities.

Bill has served as Bethpage Water District Commissioner for over 25 years where he oversees, along with his fellow commissioners, the public water operation for the 33,000 people who live in Bethpage and the surrounding area. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Water Commissioners, is past chairman and active member of the Long Island Water Conference where he works closely with other water professionals on issues that affect the Long Island public water supply. He is a member of the Nassau-Suffolk Water Commissioners Association and the American Water Works Association.

Bill has served his community as a member of the Bethpage Fire Department, a Korean War Veteran and member of the American Legion.
