Dorothy grew up in Bethpage in a home built by her father in 1940 on the corner of Ellen Street and Alice Court. The Zuk brothers built most of the homes on that street. Also, Frank Zuk helped with the construction of St. Martin of Tours R. C. Church on Central Avenue and proud to have a stained-glass window in the church. Dorothy was employed by Doubleday and Grumman Aircraft before her marriage and relocated to Colorado Springs.
