Caffrey, Earl M

Mr. Caffrey was a professional musician who played for the orchestras of Tommy Dorsey and Paul Whiteman, among others, toured Europe and played on several radio progrms. He was a warehouse manager at Grumman Aerospace for 27 years, retiring in 1967.
Mr. Caffrey was born in Pennsylvania, but lived in Bethpage since 1938. His oldest son, Raymond, died in World War II, and Caffrey Avenue, in Bethpage, was named for him. His wife, Marie, died some years ago after an extended illness. He is survived by two sons, Jacque of Virginia Beach and Earl Jr. (Buddy) of Bethpage and five grandchildren.
