In 1938, run by Gladys Leidinger at Railroad Plaza.

Below information from CPHS Newsletter - 2005 - submitted by Gladys Bosch

Gladys Leidinger was born and raised in Central Park, attended the little school, my mother was the cook for the children. I had twin sisters, Helen and Flo 2 1/2 years younger.

I had a beauty shop called Gladys' Beauty Shop across from the railroad station.

Married John Bosch and moved to Mineola, 2 1/2 years later we moved to Hempstead. After ten years we went into business, luncheonette and gift shop in East Quogue, 40 miles west of Montauk Point. We later bought a house in Hampton Bays five minutes from the ocean. We have three children (Nancy, Ellen and Johnnie) and five grandchildren (Susan, Wendy, David, Michele and Derek) and four great-grandchildren (Alex, Morgan, Payton and Lanie).
