The ice cream men in Bethpage for better then 50 years, Sal Seddio, aka "Jingle Bar" and Dom Seddio, aka "Frosty Bar". Sal and Dom were staples on summer afternoons in Bethpage as they dispensed ice cream treats to three generations of children and families from their ice cream truck.

Sadly, both Sal and Dom passed away in the summer of 2009 within three months of one another.

Sal and Dom were from a family of seven children. Sal was #5 and Dom #7. Sal and his family lived in Carle Place and Dom and his famiy in North Massapequa. Both Sal and Dom were Navy veterans and served in WWII. Their parents emigrated from Italy around 1915 and made their home in Rego Park, Queens. Their father died when the children were very young and their mother raised her seven children sewing doll clothes with the help of her children.
