Below information taken from NEWSDAY - June 24, 2019

The project is to build a $51 million warehouse for FedEx on the site of the former Northrop Grumman complex was approved last year. This included purchasing 6 acres of land from the county, the developer will receive tax breaks, the developer will be constructing and lease of a new firehouse, and the developers purchase of 8 Washington St., Bethpage. The purchase of 8 Washington St., Bethpage, is part of the larger economic development package approved by the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency last year. Downtown Bethpage will gain 21 new parking spaces under the agreement with developer Steel Equities and Nassau County - according to Oyster Bay officials and county records.

To accomplish the new parking on 8 Washington Ave., the property was purchased for $800,000; the company demolished a structure on the property; paved it; then donating it to Oyster Bay which the town was glad to accept - happy - for the additional parking. A big boost for the downtown.
