November 22, 1963 the community of Bethpage came together, following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, in Dallas Texas, to have a school named in his honor. The Jr. High School on Broadway was selected.
Now over the past 50 years children of Bethpage passed through the doors of this proud school. This year, (2013), the children, teachers, staff, and community will be honoring the memory of JFK. We realize the JFK Jr. High School, Bethpage was the first school in the country to have had the honor of naming their school after our fallen president.
