Harry V. and Kathryn Walton came to Central Park around 1920 and purchased or leased the Sengstacken building south of the railroad tracks on east Broadway where they also lived.  He operated a general store and in 1922 Gloria was born there.

Gloria Walton Enners remembers being in the name change celebration in 1936 - the boys dressed as Indians and I was dresses in a Puritan costume.  My friends then and to this day are Lucille Fornari and Marian Maggi.

I married my high school friend and have three children - Raymond, Richard and Sandra Brown.  Raymond and Richard both graduated from West Point Military Academy, and were the first from Farmingdale High School to attend West Point.  Raymond deceased in Vietnam in 1979.

Harry V. and Kathryn Walton came to Central Park around 1920 and purchased or leased the Sengstacken building south of the railroad tracks on east Broadway where they also lived. The children attended Powell Avenue School and in 1934 sister, Lois was born.

Rememberances of the Sengstacken building being utilized as a silent movie theatre with a piano for a short time then it was a miniature golf course.
