Founders and publishers of the Bethpage Newsgram in the 1940's and 1950's.

Raymond McGunnigle was a son of Joseph and Elizabeth McGunnigle of Hicksville. He attended Villanova University, majoring in journalism. He married Dorothy Foran of Bethpage, one of three daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Foran.

Raymond and Dorothy had a nice home on Harrison Avenue, Bethpage. It backed on the Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp. The couple had three children: Raymond, Brian, Eileen.
