On May 31, 2008 - June 1st, over 1300 Bethpage residents took part in an over night Relay for Life 2008, and raised $145,000 for cancer research and honored cancer survivors and caretakers.  This is their second year participating in this event.  Survivors took the the very first lap and were then followed by all others who "relayed" around the Bethpage High School track to raise money and awareness.

The 2010 Relay For Life event took place on June 5 - 6, 2010 at the Bethpage High School. Fifty teams walked the beutiful track at the high school through the night.
