At Farmingdale High School Bob met his future wife, Ann Donhauser.  Married in 1956 and three sons added to the Albertson family - Robert, John, Kurt.  Bob Sr. and Bob Jr. followed in the family tradition as Bethpage Fire Department volunteers where Bob served as Captain of Company #1 and active member of the Drive Committee, and all the Albertson's were employed by Grumman Corporation for a time.  Bob Sr. retired from Grumman Corp. after 36 years of employment, where his talents and skills were acknowledged with Sterling Awards, Bob Jr. went on to work for Bethpage Federal Credit Union, John a NBC news photographer, Kurt retired from the NYPD.

PTA), and in the Central Park Historical Society.  Employed by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.  Proud to accept honor as a Life Member in the PTA and awarded Town of Oyster Bay 2019 Women of distinction.

Information from Bob's Obituary written by son, John - Bob was a third generation Bethpager and stalwart supporter of his beloved hometown where he lived the entirety of his life.  Sadly. he passed away on March 18, 2020.
 
  
 
A proud Grummanite, as he worked for the Grumman Corporation for 36 years and amongst other accomplishments, had his hands on every F-14 Tomcat fighter jet manufactured.  He was honored to serve in the New York National Guard for six years.  Ex-Captain of Engine Company one, Drive Committee member and firefighter with the Bethpage Volunteer Fire Department.  A board member and instrumental in organizing the Central Park Historical Society where his vast knowledge of Bethpage was invaluable.

At home, Bob enjoyed his workshop, tinkering, his garden, home, and journeys around Long Island with his wife, Ann.  He was always available to lend a hand, his knowledge or his power tools.

Sadly, Bob passed away at the beginning of COVID-19, therefore, there was no wake or funeral.  Ann became infected with COVID-19 the following week, and was a lucky survivor.

Robert Albertson Sr., son of Eugene and Ilma (Peggy), brother of Eugene Jr. Born March 3, 1936 the same year Bethpage was born. No longer Central Park.
