Bob was married to Marybeth (nee Cozzie) they have two children - Tiffany and Scott.
 
Bob passed away at the age of 61 on March 26, 2013
 
Bob was an active member of the Bethpage Fire Department.  He joined the Bethpage Fire Department in 1970 and was assigned to Engine Company 2, now known as Engine Company 7, where he rose through the ranks and served as the Captain for two terms.  In December of 1980 Bob was elected Third Assistant Chief and continued in the Chiefs office until he was elected Chief of the Department from 1986-1987.  During his tenure as chief, Bob had one of the busiest years for fire duty in Bethpage.  Bob also served on the Nassau County Fire Commission when he was the Chairman of the Ninth Battalion.
